Admission

Applications for new students are taken in January. Preference is given to Catholic families and to families who already have children at Country Day. When vacancies permit, admission will be granted after screening, examination of the applicant's records and at the discretion of the principal. Country Day School admits students of any race, color, or ethnic origin.

During Catholic Schools week, we hold an Open House for families considering sending their children to Country Day. The Open House is held on the last Sunday in January. This year it will be on Sunday, January 27, 2008.

Candidates for the Pre-Kindergarten must be four years old by September 1 of the year they apply. Kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1 of the current year.

Tuition and Finances

Tuition payments must be made on time for the school to operate effectively. One month's tuition is required for each student registration and is considered the registration fee. This fee is non-refundable and is applied to the first month's tuition. The second monthly payment is due on August 15 and subsequent payments are due on the 15th of each month from September to April.

Tuition for the 2007-2008 year is $3,950. Families with more than two children in the school pay full tuition for the first two children only. Parents pay three quarters of the tuition for a third child, and one half of the tuition for additional children.

School Hours

School is in session from 7:55AM to 2:30PM. Students in the primary grades have a fifteen minute mid-morning recess and snack time, and a half hour lunch period which includes a noon time recess. Grades 5-8 have a brief morning snack break, and a half hour lunch and recess period.
